  By kicking a foot under the center of the rear bumper and through the sensors emission field- the circuit completes and triggers a search for the key fob On vehicles equipped with the Class II or Class III Trailer Tow Package- a sensor is located on each side of the trailer hitch receiver To activate the liftgate- use a slight kicking motion on either side of the hitch receiver (left or right) Once the sensors receive verification from the key fob- they will send an electronic impulse to the liftgate latching system- and cause the liftgate to open or close.
